The industrial focus in North America for automation lies in the logistics and automotive sectors. For VITRONIC's customers, automation is a crucial factor in increasing productivity, freeing up time and resources for employees and businesses to focus on the next challenges. These solutions enhance operational efficiency, minimize errors, and improve competitiveness.
VITRONIC Mexico will focus on automation solutions, particularly in the automotive and logistics industries, as well as automated traffic monitoring.
Kjell Lyngstad, President and CEO of VITRONIC North America, sees the expansion of the Mexican team as a significant opportunity, especially for automated welding inspection solutions in automotive production.
Existing projects and excellent customer contacts have encouraged us to further expand our activities in Mexico. Here, we aim to seize attractive market opportunities for both our automation and traffic business areas, which we can implement for our customers with the help of great local talent.
In 2023, Mexico ranked seventh among the top production countries in the automotive sector (OICA). According to INEGI, more than 3.5 million vehicles were manufactured in the country from January to November of the same year.
Mexico, with its relevance in automotive manufacturing and leading Tier 1 suppliers, has proven to be a potential market for our automated welding inspection solutions. Due to our past success, we are confident that our automation and traffic technology solutions will be well received.
In addition to strong growth and market potential for automation, the Mexican team is expanding by another 12 employees, emphasizing local commitment in the job market.
